Holly Devor’s article has very academic contents. Analysis of field researchs, references…  And it’s purpose is to inform and explain about sociological topic : socialization of gender role. Her main assumtion is that people learn their gender identity ( role) and behavior through socialization. It means, they develope concepts of gender identity of themselves,  in reflecting society’s expectations. she also insists a femininity or  masculinity is the result of  shaping conducted by members of society.
